Sixtyplusurfers Competition

Win His and Hers

Win His and Hers from Drumond Park

Long-lasting Valentine's fun from Drumond Park

Sixtyplusurfers has teamed up with Drumond Park to offer three lucky readers the chance to win His and Hers, the perfect game for Valentine's Day.

Forget chocolates and flowers – they’re so last year! This time get ahead of the game and choose a unique Valentine’s gift for your partner that’s guaranteed to last and last, with year-round fun and laughter, both for yourselves and for your friends!

Launched just before Christmas, Drumond Park’s hugely entertaining
His and Hers board game (rrp £32.99) was highly successful over the festive season… and we have three copies to give away in our latest competition.

Brilliant for gatherings both small and large (or stay-at-home couples will get plenty of enjoyment playing by themselves!),
His and Hers is a fantastic addition to Drumond Park’s top selling LOGO and Best of British board game series. Aimed at a 16+ audience, it follows the same ‘big brands’ picture and recognition formula as its highly successful predecessors.

This enlightening game playfully highlights the endless differences between the sexes, but it’s all good, light hearted fun with absolutely nothing antagonistic about the game play. Divide your ‘playmates’ into single sex teams, and have some gloriously riveting, raucous, laugh-out-loud fun… celebrating what makes women women and men men!

Win His and Hers from Drumond Park

Example Questions (
blue for boys, pink for girls)

To within five months, how long does it take on average for a man to propose to a woman from the moment of their first meeting? (Three years)

What is the most popular personal gift assortment of chocolates given on Valentine’s Day? (Milk Tray)

Men speak on average 12,500 words a day. To the nearest thousand, how many words does the average woman speak in a day?(25,000)

New Year’s Day is the first day of the year. What number is Valentine’s Day?(45)

What is the only body muscle that is attached at one end only?
(the tongue – now, now ladies!)

The tradition in England is that a woman may propose marriage to the man of her choice on which date?(29th February, in a Leap Year)

Which type of footwear do 82% of men find the sexiest on a woman? (Stilettos)

How many people out of 10 have married their first love? (four)

What are you after if you are choosing from Thai, Swedish, Deep Tissue or Hot Stone? (massage)

Which six words follow in the Victorian wedding day rhyme that begins with ‘something old …’? (… something new, something borrowed, something blue)

You may also like…!

All three of the blockbusting Logo board games have been developed entirely for the UK market. First in the series was Logo (also rrp £32.99), which features picture and knowledge cards asking questions about hundreds of our best-known brands – from Bird’s Eye and BMW to Walkers crisps and Wrigley’s gum.

Then came The Best of British (same price) which celebrates what makes Britain best, and covers a host of much loved – and sometimes quirky – lifestyle icons and highly popular products… from cups of tea, the weather forecast, double-decker buses, pubs on every corner, the ‘national pastime’ of queuing… to lollipop ladies, sandcastles, conkers, Blackpool rock, Big Ben and Eros…

We could go on ad infinitum. Needless to say, absolutely everyone loves playing these games.

Genie Ventures
Has Been Branching Out!

Genie Ventures Has Been Branching Out!

You may recognise the logo above as being synonymous with Genie Ventures' flagship site, Broadband Genie. Launched in 2003, Broadband Genie has been one of the most popular Broadband comparison website  for over 7 years, adding mobile broadband, smartphones (including the best iPhone 4 deals)  and tablets to their arsenal of guides, reviews and price comparison tables.

What you might not be aware of, however, is that Genie Ventures have been busy over the last few years, launching 3 new websites,
www.officegenie.co.uk (2009
www.mobilephonegenie.co.uk (2010) and
www.cafelamoda.co.uk (2011)

Office Genie originally began as Desk Space Genie, offering the UK's largest marketplace for spare desks, but has since expanded to include whole office space listings. It is now one of the leading UK office space portals on the world wide web and provides a handy directory listing popular UK office locations in alphabetical order.

Mobile Phone Genie (which is very much still in it's infancy) has very much been modelled in Broadband Genie's image, and will soon include the famous buyers guides, in-depth analysis and industry coverage that have been the foundations of its older brothers popularity over the years. Watch this space!

Finally, Cafe La Moda is a 'social shopping' fashion website, which allows users to contribute and help other users answer questions and offer useful advice across men and women's fashion and beauty. With a strong contribution base, it is hoped that Cafe La Moda can become an essential stop for consumers looking to find out more information before they buy.

Adopt a Cat

Have you ever considered adopting a cat? At Cats Protection there are over 6,000 cats and kittens in our care at any one time, all looking for the perfect home.

All of our cats have been treated to our minimum veterinary standards, meaning that they have been examined by a veterinary surgeon, been vaccinated against flu and enteritis, treated against fleas, roundworm and tapeworm and any sick cats have been blood tested for FIV and FeLV.

If the cat has not been neutered before or during its time in our care, we will normally ensure owners have done this after adoption.

UK Online Bingo

Bingo has come a long way in recent years. You can now enjoy the game from the comfort of your own home thanks to www.whichbingo.co.uk

The online version of bingo works much like that which you will find in a bingo hall. The most common type of online bingo is the traditional 90 ball game, although you will also be able to play the American 75 ball version at some bingo sites.

There are hundreds of different bingo sites to choose from, so picking out the right one to play at can be tricky. But there are sites, such as Whichbingo.co.uk where you can find player reviews and ratings for all of the different games.

One of the most popular bingo sites is Foxy Bingo which has been awarded the WhichBingo Site of the Month award on numerous occasions. You have probably seen Foxy Bingo on TV recently, as they often run high-profile advertising campaigns.

Also rising in popularity is the amount of bingo sites that offer no deposit bingo This is essentially free bingo and lets you try out the sites without actually spending any of your own money.

It is a great way to discover a new bingo site that you wouldn't perhaps normally play at.

Chat & Socialise
Valentine's Competition

Win Two Fantastic Jumbo Puzzles

Win two fantastic Jumbo jigsaw puzzles

Send in a Romantic Story or a Poem to the Sixtyplusurfers Chat & Socialise page and you could win two fantastic Jumbo Puzzles.

Sixtyplusurfers has teamed up with Jumbo to offer one lucky reader the chance to win two brand new puzzles from their popular Wasgij and Falcon ranges. And with Valentine's Day just around the corner, what better than to enjoy an afternoon completing a puzzle with your loved one.

Get your puzzling skills at the ready with the brand new Falcon de Luxe 500 piece Car Boot Sale jigsaw puzzle. What better than to forget about these cold winter days, than to enjoy piecing together a beautiful scene depicting a traditional village car boot sale in the middle of Summer.

Car Boot Sale jigsaw puzzle

You’ll simply love the highly detailed images of these classic cars with their boots raised high and wide, displaying a variety of vintage clothes, decorative antiques, traditional board games and many more delights.

So why not spend some time in the comfort of your home enjoying this fabulous 500 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Priced at £7.99 RRP the Car Boot Sale jigsaw puzzle is available to buy from Amazon, www.alljigsawpuzzles.co.uk and also from www.jigsawpuzzlesdirect.co.uk

Wasgij Destiny 12: Market Mayhem jigsaw puzzle

If you’re keen for a bigger challenge then put your puzzling skills to the test with the new 1,000 piece Wasgij Destiny 12: Market Mayhem jigsaw puzzle. With traditional jigsaws the puzzler builds the image that they can see on the box – but with Wasgij they have to build an image that is different to that shown on the box.

Wasgij Destiny challenges you to use your imagination and clues provided on the box, to puzzle what the characters and scenery will look like in the modern day. This colourful and humorous illustration of an early 1950s market place is crowded with stalls selling fresh fruit and vegetables, a fine china stall and outside the Town Hall is a cattle market.

Wasgij Destiny 12: Market Mayhem jigsaw puzzle

But panic has spread through the market place as one of the bulls has broken free of the pen! Can you use the clues provided and your imagination to piece together what the scene will look like in the modern day? Only the puzzle holds the answer!

This 1,000 piece puzzle is £11.99 RRP and available from Amazon, Argos, Hobbycraft, Smyths and Play.com.
