sound generator and there’s Paddy’s
voice shouting out his familiar “No
likey, no lighty” , “If you’re turned
off, turn off” and “Singleman reveal
yourself” catchphrases!

Take Me Out is recommended for ages 12+
and includes an Electronic Take Me Out
Light and Buzzer Unit and "Paddyism"
generator, 100 Single Man Cards, 50 The
Power is In Your Hands Cards, 1 Single
Girl Pad, 12 Isle of Fernandos Vouchers,
a Coloured Die and Rules.
Tried and Tested
We love watching Take Me Out on Saturday
nights, so we were looking forward to
testing the game. Recommended for at
least three players there are three
rounds to the game and the aim is to
collect as many Fernandos vouchers as
you can.
Each player takes a sheet from the
Single Girl pad and writes down a little
known secret about themselves. To begin
the game, each player throws the die and
the first player to roll a blue becomes
the Single Man.
He then takes a Single Man Reveal
Yourself Card from the pack and presses
the 'Single Man reveal yourself' button
on the electronic unit and reads out his
name and home town. As the game
progresses, the players find out more
about the single man by playing a
drawing game, miming game and the little
known secret game.
At the end of each round the Single
Girls are given the chance to press the
'No Likey, No Likey Button' on the
electronic unit which eliminates them
from the next round.
The Single Man finally takes 'The Power
is in Your Hands' card and reads it aloud
to the players who are left in the game.
This is a missing word game and the
players must decide which word is
has been left out. For example 'My passion for
superheroes runs so deep that I hope you
won't be shocked if you find me dressed
as Blank'.
When the Single Girls have decided on
the missing word the man reads the card
again giving the correct answer. The
Single Man and Girl who have the same
missing word each receive an Isle of
Fernandos Voucher. The winner is the
player with the most vouchers after an
allotted time or over an agreed number
of games.
We really enjoyed playing Take Me Out with
our family and friends. It was
a good ice breaker, great for parties and
situations where there are lots of people
who can take part. We liked
hearing Paddy McGuinness's fun and
friendly voice on the
electric unit, and would recommend it
for Valentine's Day and as a gift for
teenagers.

Ingredients

3cl (1 oz)
St. Germain Elderflower liqueur

9cl (3 oz.) Croft Pink Port

6 cl (2 oz.) Brut Sparkling wine

Frozen berries
Method
1. Put 4-5 ice cubes in a highball glass
2. Pour in St. Germain and add Croft
Pink Port then give a quick stir.
3. Top with sparkling wine and garnish
with askewer of frozen berries.
