Fuzzy Felt Celebrates its 60th Anniversary

One of my favourite games when my
children were young was Fuzzy Felt. We had endless fun
making up stories with the felt shapes and it was a good game to take to
people's houses.
Unbelievably, Fuzzy-Felt
is now enjoying its 60th birthday and distributor John
Adams & Toy Brokers has introduced a special anniversary
set to celebrate.
The Fuzzy-Felt 60th
Anniversary Set is a deluxe creation, building on the
successful format of the existing range. This limited
edition set contains two large-format boards in
contrasting colours, 500 high-quality felt pieces and
its own storage drawer.
This specially
commissioned set includes pieces adapted from some of
the original Fuzzy-Felt shapes, conceived by inventor
Lois Allan during the war, before Fuzzy-Felt’s official
launch.

The History of Fuzzy Felt
Inventor Lois Allan
conceived the idea for Fuzzy-Felt during the war, while

factory off-cuts, and encouraged the children to create
pictures on the back of table mats.
Fuzzy-Felt was officially
launched on August 30 1950, and has gone on to become
one of the UK’s best-loved creative toys. Amazingly,
some of the original designs Lois developed are still in
use today.
Fuzzy-Felt is as relevant
and popular now as ever, having engaged and entertained
millions of children since the brand’s inception. Today

Look out for Crips, a new range of low
fat wheat and potato snacks with only 99 calories per
packet.
Crunchy new lower fat snack Crips 99Cals
have recently made their debut in Tesco stores in the
East Midlands and beyond.
The oven-baked wheat and potato snack created by East
Midlands snack producer Crips has 70% less fat than
traditional fried potato crisps and only 99 calories per
pack.
The product was recently unveiled on the healthy
snacking aisles at 39 Tesco stores from Brackley to
Barnsley. And they can also be found in selected
independent delis and farm shops.

Created by a team based at Ingleby near Derby, the Crips
99Cals range is available in three different flavours –
Thai Sweet Chilli, Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar and
Mature Cheddar Cheese & Spring Onion.

was Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar. But each variety tasted
great and the snacks were nice and filling. I'll

I was delighted to receive some
